ABOUT THE FIRM

A specialist Saudi tax firm

AH Tax Partners is a Saudi firm specialising in VAT and Real Estate Transaction Tax, licensed by the Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants. We work with businesses on matters where the tax decision has a material effect, under the direct supervision of the partners.

WHO WE ARE

Three disciplines, one opinion.

The firm was founded on the conviction that a tax opinion is not complete from reading the law alone. A transaction has to be read from the perspective of the auditor, of those who finance it and of those who own it.

The firm therefore brings together three complementary disciplines: an audit and assurance methodology gained at major international firms; experience in financial advisory, deal structuring and private equity funds; and a deep understanding of the business environment and of legislative and compliance requirements.

Audit and Assurance

A discipline of verification and documentation on which tax positions are built.

Financial Advisory and Transactions

A practical understanding of how deals are structured, financed and documented.

Business and Compliance

A deep understanding of legislative and compliance requirements and their effect on a business's decisions.

Our vision

To be the firm that businesses in the Kingdom turn to when a tax decision carries real weight: a reference point in VAT and Real Estate Transaction Tax, known for the depth and independence of its advice.

Our mission

To give mid-sized and private companies and business owners deep, well-documented tax advice that comes before the decision rather than after it, holds up under audit and objection, and protects the value of their business from structuring the transaction to resolving the dispute.

OUR VALUES

A tax opinion is a responsibility before it is a service.

The values we hold ourselves to in every engagement, and in every opinion issued in the firm's name.

Integrity

We say what the law requires, even when it is not what the client hoped to hear, and we decline any engagement that would compromise our professional independence.

Rigour

We never build an opinion on an assumption we have not verified; every conclusion traces back to a provision and a document.

Accountability

We stand behind what we sign, and we stay with the client until the matter is closed, not merely until the report is delivered.

Respect

For our clients' time, money and privacy. We agree the scope and fees clearly before any work begins.

OUR CULTURE

Small by design, with a standard that does not change.

We are small by design: everyone working on a matter knows its facts in full, and the partner stays close to every detail. What governs our work is not the size of the engagement but its consequences for the client.

A second review for every opinion

No opinion leaves the firm until a second partner has reviewed it.

Continuous learning

We follow developments from ZATCA and the decisions of the dispute committees closely, and we invest in international professional qualifications.

Knowledge we share

We publish what we learn in our Insights, because clarity about the rules serves the whole market.

OUR PRINCIPLES

How we work

01

Partner supervision

A partner leads the engagement from start to finish, with no layers between you and the person forming the opinion.

02

Specialisation

We work within the scope of our licence and go deep, rather than spreading wide at the expense of depth.

03

Documentation

We tie the technical opinion to the contract, the invoice and the accounting record, so that it holds up under audit and objection.

04

Confidentiality and candour

We do not disclose our clients or their matters, and we give a candid assessment before starting any engagement.
